Howdy, ya’all

Geez, my apologies. I suck at doing this on time. Not that anyone cares.

In short, it’s been a pretty eventful time this last month or so. Stuff with Martha has more or less hit the fan and… stress? Yeah, pretty much.

 And yet I find reprieve.

As those who (supposedly) read this blog would know, I am a big proponent of Warhammer 40,000.

I recently started collecting my Deamonhunters army, and I decided to just get around and paint them this time, so it’s legit and freaking awesome.

And freaking awesome it is. I decided on Mithril Silver for the armour, Royal Blue for the ribbons and merits, Polished Gold for the lettering, and some chaos black for highlights and weaponry.

I got pretty creative and pretty much painted up a storm on my men, and I have to say… it came out a hell of a lot better than I thought it might, considering I have no model painting experience.

And I have to say, I’m very proud of what I have. It’s relaxing, you know? Because when you’re painting… you ignore everything else. All that matters is getting the look you want, mixing what you have to get the colours you need, customizing what you have. When there is paint on your brush, the rest of your troubles don’t matter for that time.

I’m gonna see if I can pick up some white paint today and I’m going to start my Venerable Dreadnought tonight. It’s gonna be badass.

When I finish my Terminators (I am halfway done, 5 more to go) and my Dreadnought (havn’t even primed it yet), I’ll post up some pictures.

Because I’m a whore that way.

Catch you in the funny pages,<br>IAN
