Busy as a Bee. Or a beaver. They’re both pretty busy.
Jesus.
This month has been nuts crazy. Hollywood Video is really putting me through the ropes course with their scrutiny. I’ve been to two seperate interviews and talked to 5 different people and filled out forms out took quizzes and answered every question I could ever think possible.
Alina was supposed to call me today and let me know their verdict. She didn’t. This makes me nervous.
I’ve been sitting by the phone all day, and everytime it rings, I jump. No call. Bah.
About 20 minutes ago an idea occured to me.
Maybe… maybe they’re not calling because they’re putting extra consideration into it. Maybe they were SO impressed, that they’re considering moving straight into a management position. Floor manager? Shift manager? Guest manager? Even general manager? Higher pay :o
Highly unlikely, but the positive thinking is keeping me from getting nervous about why they havn’t called.
I’ve been fiddling around looking at apartments. I’m having trouble scrounging up a roommate (since most of the people I’d consider are going to Seattle), so I’m sticking to affordable 1br apartments… I found one for under 500. Go me. It looks really nice, and I’m hoping by the time I can afford the deposits, first/last month’s rent, and a pet deposit, they still have vacancies.
Things have really been looking up for me. Ever since… graduation night, really. Things have really been making sense. I feel I finally am where I need to be. I have a full fleshy plan for my college years.
Clark for two years to flesh out my academic resume (I’m missing an English credit [Yes, I'm loking at YOU Lindy LeCoq!]), classes in Network Administration and security. Then, after two years, a transfer to WSU Vancouver, where I continue my computer-related education. Fairly straightforward, and I’m pretty confident.
Emily and I have been hanging out and talking. I really enjoy that.
Things have really started moving. Like that proverbial stone or some nonsense. Awesome.
Go me :]
Respectfully,
IAN TEWID
