He who sees, but is not seen

I cannot speak for this grip that has a hold upon me.

I see her smile at me, and my throat clinches a little. She laughs, and I can’t help but smile.

Never before have I wanted to touch someone, to hold someone, this bad before. Never before have I itched so badly, felt it deep within me, a kind of inescapable heat.

I wonder how her skin would feel against my lips…

I wonder if I should even be thinking like that.

Not many people make me feel as good about myself as she does. I love nothing more than being in the same room as her.  The air she exudes, the elation I feel, the happiness…

When she’s around, I could fight armies…

Ok, they’re not things I hate, but I had to think of a catchy title, right?

I’ve been tagged. I suppose this means I have to write ten interesting things about me as a person, and then tag another 10 people at the end of the post and make THEM do it. (I had to do it in my WordPress because of the overlay on my MySpace page) 

1. I love my job. A lot. I have the greatest coworkers a soul could ever ask for, and in all honesty I find it pretty easy.

2. I take medication (or at least, I’m supposed to) for depression, and I have been for the last few months. Most of the time I forget to take it, and as a result my emotions go kind of rollercoaster. Over the years I’ve gotten really good at keeping it in and maintaining it until my bad thoughts subside, but some days are worse than others.

 3. I sleep with a teddy bear. Yes, that’s right. I’ve had that bear since the day I was born. There are holes in his neck and he’s been stitched up more times than I can count, his fur has faded, but I can’t look at him without feeling something good.

4. I have dual-citizenship with Palau. Yeah, I know, awesome.

5. I’m a very shy person by nature. I overcome it most of the time and can appear outgoing and friendly, but I seize up around people. I want so bad to make a good impression, I stumble over myself.

6. I have a very maddening crush on a girl. She makes me feel like a freshman again; young, innocent, giddy. I hope I don’t screw things up like I usually do. As is, I don’t see anything coming of it (Damn you, circumstances!), but we’ll see how things go. 

7. I look in the mirror and very rarely do I like what I see.

8. I have some of the best friends in the world. I would do anything for these people. Anything. I would stand alone against the armies of Hell for them.

9. I’m very proud of the things I’ve accomplished in my life, as few as they may be. I can look at the things I’ve done and be proud (well, the good things) and think to myself ‘maybe I’m not a waste of space’

10. My goal is to travel. That’s it. Just… go everywhere, see everything. And everywhere I go, I want to bring back with me a piece of history. I’ve already started my collection; I have a medicine bottle from a sunken Japanese warship from World War II, and I have a piece of the Berlin wall. 

The world has been placed here for me to explore, and I am going to conquer it.
